Don't fall for the Telecom Companies Lock-in

There are a huge amount of Telecom companies desperately trying to sign companies into 3, 4, 5 yr contract agreements on their line and call business. This is inherently dangerous as no-one is quite sure what the future holds e.g. Local and National calls may be free.

By signing into anything other than a 1 yr agreement you may be putting your company at risk of paying way over the odds i.e. if Local calls suddenly become free and you have 4 ½ years to run on a contract paying 1.8 pence/min, you will obviously be losing a lot of money.

The communication infrastructure in the UK is having a huge revamp, named BT’s 21CN (21 Century Network), which is due to be completed by 2009, Cardiff is already running on it.

Please do not sign anything more than a 1 year contract and read the small print in all correspondence with Telecom companies with regard to line and call business.
