The new-look Newquay Chamber of Commerce & Tourism (NCCT) website www.ncct.uk.com. is officially launched this week and offers frequently updated news & information together with a regular e-newsletter to keep Newquay’s business community abreast with what’s happening at the NCCT and within the business world at large.

The website, developed by NCCT member Ocean Internet Solutions (OIS), is designed to be frequently updated, and it’s hoped that members will use the website to share news, events, information & advice on-line, providing Newquay’s business community with a valuable resource.

One of OIS’s key aims was to create a website that was extremely search engine friendly, so it’s expected that NCCT members will benefit greatly from the new NCCT On-Line Business Directory, where members are able to log-in and update their business details, including web & email address.

NCCT Chairman, Lorraine Harrison said “With the launch of the new look Trade Association, it was felt that it was time for us to update across the board. It was decided, therefore, that the way to go with regard to the Newsletter and associated articles and updates, was the electronic route. This means that those companies and contributors that wished to continue to bring their news to the NCCT membership could submit direct to OIS and that members can access the information on the website at their own convenience, without having to hunt for a paper hard copy. We should also bear in mind the need for care with regard to the environment and the electronic route would seem to address these concerns.“

OIS’s Andy Weir said “I’ve tried to make things as flexible as possible, I hope the website will be more collaborative in nature, so that NCCT executive and members will mould the website to their requirements.“

The launch of the new website coincides with the re-launch of the NCCT Member Discount Scheme, members of the NCCT who elect to participate will be included on the new scheme’s list in the members section of the NCCT website so that all fellow members can take up the discounts and offers shown.
