Newquay Chamber of Commerce and Tourism has a new acting Chair
Mon 14th Feb
Lyndon Harrison has been voted on to the NCCT’s Executive Committee and is taking the role of acting Chair. The Chambers former Chair, Hal Jenkinson has stood down from both the Chair and Executive Committee to concentrate on running his business and to spend more time with his family. The Chamber would like to thank Hal for his commitment and valuable time while in his post.
On taking on his new role local Newquay resident and former town Councillor Lyndon Harrison said: “I am very pleased to have been accepted as the new acting chairman of the NCCT and hope that, between now and the AGM, I will have the opportunity to prove myself worthy of the confidence of Newquay’s business community sufficiently to be voted as chairman proper. I would urge all local businesses to join the NCCT community and be part of shaping the future of our town. I, in turn, will do my best to represent the businesses community in the same positive and passionate way as I have in the past as a Newquay Councillor. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the businesses in Newquay a prosperous 2011 season and look forward to meeting as many of you as I can during my time with the NCCT.”
The Executive will vote on a new full-time Chair at the forthcoming AGM.
