The Chamber welcomes new Chair

Hal Jenkinson, of Surf Communications, has taken over the helm from Andy Weir, with Damian Knight, Manager of Booker, taking up the role of Vice Chair. Hal, who lives and runs his telecoms business in Newquay, said ‘The business community is continuing to face challenging times and the Chamber of Commerce has an increasingly important role to play in providing support for its members. I am looking forward to steering the organisation forward, together with the executive team, and will be focusing on strengthening partnerships with other organisations in the town’
Damian Knight, said ‘The town needs a strong collective businesses voice to make sure we take advantage of all opportunities and increasing the membership will be high priority. We now have 134 trading members and represent the business community on numerous committees and organisations. It is vital that all the business sectors are fully represented and we continue to need those business people, who want to make a difference to the towns trading economy, to join the Chamber and shape its future.’
